I didn’t intend to become an artist! I was happy being a nurse. But early in my adulthood it had become my habit to try something new each winter. Watercolor painting was the new thing for the 1997-98 season (without any previous interest or experience in drawing, painting, or similar work).

I will be forever grateful to my first instructor, Cindy Brabek-King. Along with teaching the fundamentals of watercolor, she planted the vision that it was possible that I could become an artist.

I began slowly but, after retirement, I painted more consistently and began to see results. I currently divide my time between Alaska and California, both of which offer great subject matter for an artist. You will notice a notation on each painting as to its current location.

Thank you for viewing my website and I hope you enjoy my work!
